Educational Philosophy Statement

I am a secondary mathematics and physics teacher who believes that life is cross-curricular in nature and our classrooms should be as well.  Though the subjects I teach are math and science I always include heavy components relating to oral and written communication, group work and management, and problem solving.  I believe that all of this can be accomplished in a way that not only engages and challenges my students but leaves them better prepared for life as well as their standardized end of course exams. I make use of quite a bit of technology in the classroom, however I always make sure it is a tool to aid student learning and not the focus of the class.
